Overview
Ultimate Auto Parts sells turbochargers, turbo cores, actuators and accessories online to customers across South Africa. The catalogue was solid, but the store was close to invisible. There was no structured data, no presence in Bing, no Google Shopping listings, and heavy product images slowing every page.
Buyers of turbo parts search with very specific questions, like part numbers, vehicle fitment and "which turbo fits my engine". More and more, they ask those questions to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot and Google's AI Overviews rather than typing keywords into a search box. We set out to make Ultimate Auto Parts the answer those systems find and trust.

SEO, AEO and GEO
We treated search as three layers, not one. For more on why, see SEO, GEO, and AEO: The Three Layers of Being Found Online.
- SEO: technical foundations, crawlable product and category pages, clean titles and meta descriptions, and a proper sitemap.
- AEO: content shaped around the real questions turbo buyers ask, so answer engines can lift a direct, accurate answer.
- GEO: clear, factual, well-structured product information that generative AI systems can understand, cite and recommend.
Schema built from the start
The store had no structured data at all, so we built it from the ground up. We added machine-readable markup for the business, the products, prices, stock availability and site structure. This lets Google, Bing and AI systems read the catalogue as facts rather than guessing from page text. That makes the store eligible for rich results, and it makes it much easier for AI assistants to recommend a specific part with confidence.
Bing Webmaster Tools
Bing matters more than most stores realise, because its index feeds Microsoft Copilot, and many AI search tools lean on it too. We set up and verified the Bing Webmaster Tools profile, submitted the sitemap and got the catalogue indexed. This opens a direct path into AI-powered search results.
Google Merchant Center and shipping
We set up Google Merchant Center so the catalogue can appear in Google Shopping and the free product listings. Merchant Center needs accurate shipping information, so we also configured shipping on the site. That way customers see clear delivery costs, and the product feed passes Google's checks.
Image optimization
Turbo parts are bought on detail, so product photos matter, but they were slowing the store down. We compressed and resized images across the catalogue, served modern formats and added descriptive alt text. Pages load faster, and the images themselves become searchable and understandable to machines.
